Appearance
A tall, lightly built orange bat with broad brown wings, Mantis has a rough red hair and a neatly-trimmed beard & mustache of the same color. His gray eyes carry all he wishes to say, a softly-spoken young man.
Attire
Mantis typically wears a black vest, with slots in the back for his wings, edged in white. In addition to this, he wears blue jeans, a pair of black trainers and a brown leather belt. However, his favorite piece of clothing is his baseball cap. Black, with the "Forget-Me-Knots" printed in the font of their last concert on the front.
Background Story
Abilities
Mantis is a master pyrokinetic, with a high-rating on the measurement scales, and has unlocked his signature tint of fire, a deep teal. This level makes him a threat in any fight, as does the sheer power of his attacks. In addition, he is an accomplished hand-to-hand fighter, another area that he teaches. As a bat, he obviously bears the ability to fly. He is also a known trainer of pyrokinetic moves, with schools hiring him to teach their students how to use their pyrokinesis.
However, Mantis suffers from an inability to counter his own attacks. His techniques are at the level where they can counteract Water-type moves by instantly boiling the water, but he cannot absorb or deflect his own attacks. Similarly, Dragon techniques and users of the Dragon-style Pyrokinesis form also can overpower him. Aside for this weakness and strength over water, he is also unable to break barriers of Earth.
